Canada's savory answer to the Bloody Mary, built on spiced clam-and-tomato juice and finished with a celery salt rim.

Ingredients

How to Make It

  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a highball glass and coat it with celery salt.
  2. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  3. Add the vodka, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce, then top with Clamato.
  4. Stir gently and garnish with a celery stalk and a lime wedge.

The Story

Created in Calgary in 1969 for a hotel restaurant, the Caesar spread across the country and is now widely regarded as Canada's national cocktail.
