Martinique's everyday short drink: grassy rhum agricole, cane syrup and a squeezed disc of lime.

How to Make It

  1. Pour the cane syrup into an old fashioned glass.
  2. Cut a thin disc of lime with a little peel attached, squeeze it over the glass and drop it in.
  3. Add the rhum agricole and stir briefly with a bar spoon.
  4. Serve neat, or with a single small ice cube if you prefer.

Garnish

The squeezed lime disc, dropped back into the glass.
