Solfeon
Solfeon is a note-reading trainer. It shows a note or a chord on the staff and you name it, or you play it on your own instrument while the microphone checks the pitch on your phone. Treble, bass, alto and tenor clef, ledger lines, accidentals, triads and their inversions, transposing instruments in B-flat, E-flat and F. Notes you miss come back more often. No account, no server of ours, no ads.

Which app can help me learn to read sheet music faster?
Solfeon is a sight reading trainer for iPhone: a note appears on the staff, you name it, and the notes you miss come back more often until they stick.
Is there an app that checks if I play the right note on my instrument?
Yes. In Solfeon's Play mode you play the written note and the app detects the pitch on your iPhone, showing how many cents you are from the target.
Can I practice alto clef or tenor clef on my phone?
Yes. Solfeon trains treble, bass, alto and tenor clef; treble and bass are free, alto and tenor come with Pro.
Does Solfeon record my playing or need an account?
No. Solfeon has no account, and the microphone audio is analyzed on the iPhone and is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere.

The microphone
In “Play it” the app listens to the note you play and works out its pitch on the device. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere. If you turned the permission off, you can switch it back on in iOS Settings › Solfeon › Microphone. Every other mode works without it.
