Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Railvista handles your information. The app is provided by Volkan Günay (Vomcore). Contact: hello@vomcore.com.

Short version

No account, no sign-up, no advertising, no analytics SDK and no crash reporter. Your location, if you allow it, is used only on your iPhone and is never sent to us.

Location

If you tap “Show my location” and allow access, Railvista uses your position on the device to center the map on you. It is not uploaded, stored on a server or shared. You can turn location off at any time in iOS Settings; the rest of the app keeps working.

Map files

The map, the station list and the offline country packs are static files downloaded from our file host (Amazon Web Services, CloudFront). As with any website, the host needs your IP address to send the files back to you. We do not keep access logs for these files, and the requests carry no account, name or advertising identifier. Which part of the map you look at is not recorded by us.

What is stored on your device

• Preferences: theme, language, speed unit, the selected map layer, the last map position and that you finished the first-run screens.
• Downloaded data: offline country packs you chose to download and a cached copy of the station list.

Deleting a region in the app, or deleting the app, removes this. Nothing is uploaded to us.

Payments

Railvista Pro is sold as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are handled by the App Store and we never see your payment details. Whether your purchase is active is verified through RevenueCat, Inc. using an anonymous identifier that contains no name, email, location or advertising ID.

Links you open

“View on OpenStreetMap” opens openstreetmap.org in your browser; that site has its own privacy policy.

What we do not do

No advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no tracking pixel, no fingerprinting, no data broker, no tracking across apps. We do not sell or share data, because we hold none.

Children

Railvista is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights and contact

Because we hold no account and no personal profile, there is nothing on our side to export, correct or delete; the data is on your device and under your control. For any question write to hello@vomcore.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new text is published here before the version that relies on it ships.
