Maltora

Maltora is a homebrewing app for iPhone. Build a beer recipe from malts, hops and yeast and watch its original and final gravity, ABV, IBU and SRM colour update with every change, each shown against the style’s typical range. Start a brew from a recipe and log gravity and temperature readings to follow the fermentation curve and attenuation. Keep an ingredient stock, see what a recipe still needs and use brew day calculators for hydrometer correction, refractometer, priming sugar and strike water. No account, no ads.

Maltora is an iPhone app for homebrewing: a beer recipe builder that calculates OG, FG, ABV, IBU and SRM as you add grains, hops and yeast, with a fermentation log.

Features

  • Beer recipe builder: original and final gravity, ABV, IBU (Tinseth) and SRM colour (Morey) update with every malt, hop and yeast change
  • Each value is shown against the chosen beer style's typical range, and the recipe glass fills in the beer's estimated colour
  • Fermentation log: add gravity and temperature readings and see the gravity curve, apparent attenuation and current ABV against the target final gravity
  • Ingredient stock for malts, hops and yeast, with a list of what a recipe still needs and an option to subtract it on brew day (Pro)
  • Brew day calculators: ABV, hydrometer temperature correction, refractometer with alcohol correction, priming sugar and strike water temperature
  • Metric or US units; recipes, brews and stock stay on the iPhone with no account

Questions

Which iPhone app calculates OG, FG, ABV and IBU for a homebrew recipe?

Maltora is a homebrewing recipe builder for iPhone. It recalculates original and final gravity, ABV, IBU and SRM colour every time you change a grain, hop or yeast, and compares them with the style's typical range.

How can I track my fermentation gravity readings on iPhone?

Start a brew from a Maltora recipe and add hydrometer or refractometer readings as fermentation goes. Maltora draws the gravity curve and shows apparent attenuation and the current ABV against the target final gravity.

Can Maltora correct a refractometer reading after fermentation starts?

Yes. The refractometer tool converts Brix to specific gravity with a wort correction factor and corrects the final reading for alcohol, so you get an estimated final gravity and ABV. It is part of Maltora Pro.

Does Maltora need an account or internet connection?

No. Recipes, brews and ingredient stock are stored on the iPhone and all calculations run on the device. The internet is only used for in-app purchases.

Is Maltora free?

The free version includes 2 recipes, 1 active brew with its fermentation curve, and the ABV and hydrometer correction tools. Maltora Pro, a subscription or one-time lifetime purchase, unlocks the rest; the yearly plan starts with a 3-day free trial.

How it works

Recipes, brews and stock are stored on your iPhone and every calculation runs on the device with standard homebrewing formulas (Tinseth IBU, Morey SRM). The results are estimates; measure with your own instruments. Home brewing is regulated in some countries — check your local rules and please enjoy responsibly.
