By using Board Foot & Cut List you agree to these terms. The app is provided by Volkan Günay (Vomcore).
What the app does
It calculates board feet from the dimensions you enter, warns you when those dimensions look like nominal sizes, and lays your parts out on the boards you say you have — with the kerf counted on every cut.
Check the plan before you cut
- The plan is only as good as the numbers you enter.A board that is 95 ⅞ inches long, not 96, changes the result. Measure your stock, do not assume it.
- The kerf setting must match your blade. The app defaults to ⅛ inch — a standard circular saw blade. A thin-kerf or a dado blade cuts differently, and a plan built with the wrong kerf will come up short at the saw.
- The cut order is not a safety instruction. The app knows nothing about grain, defects, clamping, blade guards or how a piece will behave as it comes free. Cutting safely is your judgement and your responsibility.
- The layout is good, not provably optimal. Finding the mathematically best layout is a hard problem; the app uses a fast method that lands close to it. A different arrangement may waste slightly less.
Measure twice
Lumber is bought once and cut once. Verify the plan against your actual boards before the first cut. We are not liable for wasted material.
Board Foot Pro: subscriptions and lifetime
The calculator, the cut plan and the kerf setting are free, and stay free. Saving more than one project, exporting or sharing the PDF, and planning from mixed board lengths are part of Board Foot Pro, offered as a yearly subscription (which may start with a 7-day free trial), a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase that never renews.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. If you start a free trial, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account; you manage or cancel a subscription in that account’s settings. The price is shown in the store before you confirm. Refunds are handled by the store and we are not a party to them.
Your content
Your parts lists, stock and saved projects belong to you. They stay on your device and we claim no rights over them.
Limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from its use, including material cut incorrectly.
