This policy explains how Warbla handles your information. The app is provided by Volkan Günay (Vomcore). Contact: hello@vomcore.com.
Short version
No account, no sign-up, no advertising and no crash reporter. Sound and photos are analyzed on your iPhone and are never uploaded to us. RevenueCat processes purchase information to manage Pro access and analyze subscriptions, and receives a few anonymous usage counts described below.
Microphone
When you tap Listen and allow microphone access, Warbla feeds the live audio to a recognition model on the device. The audio is not recorded, not saved and not sent anywhere. You can turn the microphone off at any time in iOS Settings; photo identification and the rest of the app keep working.
Camera and photos
If you take a photo or pick one from your library, Warbla analyzes it on the device. If you add that sighting to your journal, a copy of the photo is kept inside the app on your iPhone. Photos are never uploaded to us.
What is stored on your device
- Journal: the species you saved, when, how it was identified (sound or photo), the confidence score, your notes and any photo you attached.
- Preferences: theme, language, your region, that you finished the first-run screens and the count of today’s free identifications.
Deleting a journal entry, or deleting the app, removes this. Nothing is uploaded to us.
Payments
Warbla Pro is sold as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are handled by the App Store and we never see your payment details. RevenueCat, Inc. processes purchase history and subscription status using an anonymous identifier that contains no name, email, location or advertising ID. We use this information to verify access, restore purchases and understand subscription performance. It is not used to track you across apps or websites for advertising. Usage counts
To understand how the app is used and improve it, Warbla sends RevenueCat a few values tied to the same anonymous identifier: what opened the Pro screen (Listen, a photo, the journal, CSV export, the quiz or Settings) and how many times it has opened; the date of your first confident identification and whether it came from sound or a photo; the date you first saw a locked result; and the date of your first sound quiz round. They never include audio, photos, your location, species names or notes. These counts are not linked to your identity, are not used for advertising and are not sold.
What we do not do
No advertising SDK, no tracking pixel, no fingerprinting and no data broker. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. Purchase information and the usage counts are processed by Apple and RevenueCat as described above; your audio, photos and journal stay on your device.
Children
Warbla is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights and contact
You can delete journal entries within the app and remove local app data by deleting the app. Deleting the app does not cancel an App Store subscription or erase transaction records retained by Apple and RevenueCat. To ask about purchase information or exercise applicable data rights, write to hello@vomcore.com. We may need information about your transaction to locate an anonymous purchase record; do not send payment card details.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new text is published here before the version that relies on it ships.
