Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Verdia handles your information. The app is provided by Volkan Günay (Vomcore). Contact: hello@vomcore.com.

Short version

No account, no advertising, no tracking. The photo you ask Verdia to analyze leaves your phone only to get you an answer. Apart from it, only the purchase check and a few usage counts, described below, go online.

Photos you analyze

When you identify a plant or run a health check, the photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our relay server (Amazon Web Services, Frankfurt) and forwarded to the Pl@ntNet identification service (CIRAD, France), which returns the result. Our relay does not store the photo and does not write it to logs. Pl@ntNet processes the image under its own terms of use. The request contains the photo, the plant part you selected and your language — no name, email, location or advertising identifier.

What is stored on your device

• My plants: the plants you add, their photo, the watering interval and the dates you watered them.
• Preferences: theme and reminder state.

This data never leaves your phone. Deleting the app deletes it.

Permissions

• Camera: to take the photo you want analyzed.
• Photos: only the single picture you pick from the system photo picker.
• Notifications: watering reminders and the free-trial reminder. They are scheduled on the device; no push server is involved.

Payments

Verdia Pro is a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase handled by the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Whether Pro is active is verified through RevenueCat, Inc. using an anonymous identifier that contains no name or email.

Usage counts

To understand how the app is used and improve it, Verdia sends RevenueCat a few values tied to the same anonymous identifier: what opened the Pro screen and how many times it has opened; the date of your first result and whether it was an identification or a health check; the date you first saw a locked result; how many plants you added to My plants while results were locked, and how many you added by name without identifying them; and whether you allowed notifications. They never include your photos, your plants’ names or your watering dates. These counts are not linked to your identity, are not used for advertising and are not sold.

Children

Verdia is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights and contact

We hold no account and no personal profile. The only things kept on our side are the anonymous purchase record and the usage counts at RevenueCat; to have them deleted (the record is anonymous, so we may ask for your App Store receipt to find it), or for any other question, write to hello@vomcore.com.
