What Does Dreaming of an Eye Mean?
Traditional Interpretation
According to traditional interpretation and Ibn Sirin, the eye may point to one's faith, insight, and the inner eye of the heart that finds the right path; a healthy, clear eye is interpreted as strength of faith, while blindness or a defect in the eye is read as a shortcoming in one's religious life. Beautiful, clear eyes may also signify guidance, knowledge, and discernment; in some sources they may point to children (the right eye a son, the left eye a daughter).
Psychological View
In modern psychology, the eye—as Jung's symbol of consciousness and insight—can represent awareness, one's perspective on oneself and the world, and how clearly one sees the truth. Eyes watching you may point to a fear of being observed and judged, or to a repressed subconscious message "wanting to be seen."
