What Does Dreaming of a Cemetery Mean?

In traditional interpretation, especially according to Ibn Sirin, seeing a cemetery in a dream can most often indicate remembering death and the hereafter, repentance, sermons and counsel, and not being deceived by worldly wealth. In some sources, going to a cemetery or lying down in one may also be interpreted as becoming poor or as the heart withdrawing from the world.

In modern psychology, a cemetery can be a symbol of a period left behind, of relationships that have ended, or of feelings one no longer wishes to carry; according to Jung, it can indicate the desire to close one chapter and pass into a new one (transformation).
