Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the Thwacko mobile app, provided by Volkan Günay (Vomcore), Ankara, Türkiye. Installing or using the app means you accept them. Contact: hello@vomcore.com.

What you get

A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Thwacko on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial fun. The app, its characters, props, sounds, design and artwork stay ours.

It is a cartoon comedy

Thwacko is slapstick in the tradition of cartoons: nobody is hurt, and the props are for laughs. It is not meant to encourage or depict real violence against anyone.

Photos of other people — your responsibility

• Only use a photo of someone if you have the right to and they agree to being turned into a caricature. You are responsible for the photos you upload.
• Do not use Thwacko to mock, harass, bully, threaten, humiliate or defame anyone, or to target a person who has not agreed to it.
• Do not upload photos of children, photos showing nudity or sexual content, or photos you do not have the right to use.
• Do not share caricatures made with Thwacko in a way that harms, embarrasses or misrepresents the person in them. If someone asks you to delete a caricature of them, delete it.

Caricatures are generated by an AI image model and may look different from the real person or contain mistakes. The provider may refuse some photos.

Free and paid

After the first-run screens, which include one free caricature, Thwacko is unlocked by the Backstage Pass: every prop and up to 30 new caricatures per calendar month.

• Subscriptions (weekly, monthly, yearly) renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel any time in your App Store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
• The monthly plan starts with a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it becomes a paid monthly subscription. The trial is offered once per subscription group, per App Store account.
• Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and carries no free trial. It includes the same monthly caricature limit.

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. Payment is taken by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules — write to us and we will help you ask. If a caricature fails, the attempt is not counted against your limit.

Restoring a purchase

Because there is no account, your purchase is tied to your App Store account. On a new device, sign in with the same account and tap “Restore” on the Backstage Pass screen. Caricatures are stored on the device and do not move to a new one.

Acceptable use

Do not decompile, resell or redistribute the app, call our caricature server outside the app, try to get around the caricature limits, or try to unlock paid features by tampering.

No warranty, and limits

Thwacko is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, including that caricatures look like the person or that the caricature service is always available. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. You are responsible for the photos you use and for how you share what you make. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Changes and ending

We may update the app and these terms; material changes are published here with a new date. You can stop using Thwacko at any time by deleting it. If you breach these terms, in particular the rules on photos of other people, the licence ends.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
