Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Citelle handles your information. The app is provided by Volkan Günay (Vomcore). Contact: hello@vomcore.com.
Short version
No account, no login, no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDK. Citelle has no server of its own. Your bibliographies are stored only on your iPhone.
Looking up a source
When you look up a source, only what you typed or scanned — a DOI, an ISBN, a link, a title or a reference line — is sent to one or more of these services: doi.org, api.crossref.org, openlibrary.org and api.semanticscholar.org. If you enter a web link, Citelle opens that page to read its citation metadata. These services receive the request directly from your iPhone and their own privacy policies apply. Nothing else from your bibliographies is sent.
Camera and photos
Camera access (to scan a book’s ISBN barcode or photograph a page) and Photo Library access (to pick a photo) are optional. Barcodes and text in photos are read on the iPhone with Apple’s Vision framework. Photos and camera frames are processed on the device and never uploaded.
What is stored on your device
- Bibliographies: the sources you save and their details.
Deleting the app removes all of this.
Payments
Citelle Pro is sold as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase, through Apple In-App Purchase. Purchases are handled by the App Store and we never see your payment details. Purchases are managed through RevenueCat, Inc., which receives an anonymous app user identifier and the purchase receipts; it contains no name, email or bibliography content.
What we do not do
No advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no tracking pixel, no fingerprinting, no data broker, no tracking across apps. We do not sell or share your data.
Children
Citelle is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights and contact
We hold no account and no personal profile, so there is nothing on our side to access or delete; your data is on your device and deleting the app removes it. For any question, write to hello@vomcore.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new text is published here before the version that relies on it ships.
