Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Aimwave (shown on the App Store as “Satellite Dish Finder: Aimwave”) handles your information. The app is provided by Volkan Günay (Vomcore). Contact: hello@vomcore.com.
Short version
No account, no sign-up, no advertising, no Firebase, no crash reporter, no tracking and no server of ours. The transmitter and satellite data ships inside the app and every calculation happens on your iPhone. The only data that leaves your iPhone goes to RevenueCat: your purchase status and a few usage counters, tied to an anonymous ID. Your location never leaves the device.
Location
Aimwave uses your position to find the TV transmitters near you, to work out the direction and distance to each one, and to calculate the azimuth, elevation and LNB skew for a satellite dish. Your location is used on the device only; it is not stored by us and is never sent to us, to RevenueCat or to anyone else.
Compass and motion
The compass heading and the tilt of your iPhone are read from its sensors to turn the dial and to work the mast level. They stay on the device.
Camera (only when you open the sky camera)
The sky camera shows the live camera picture with the satellite belt and the tower direction drawn over it, so you can see trees or walls in the way. The picture is not recorded, not saved and never sent anywhere. Camera access is asked for only when you open this screen.
What is stored on your device
- Saved places: the names and coordinates of places you save (a saved place is your position at the moment you save it).
- Setup log (Pro): for each setup you save, the target tower or satellite, the place name and coordinates, the angles (true and magnetic azimuth, elevation, skew), the distance, your note and the date.
- Preferences: app language, units, the selected satellite, that you finished the first-run screens, and whether the App Store rating prompt has been shown.
- Usage counters described in the next section.
Deleting an entry in the app, or deleting the app, removes this.
Purchases and usage counters (RevenueCat)
Aimwave Pro is sold as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are handled by the App Store and we never see your payment details. Whether your purchase is active is checked through RevenueCat, Inc., our purchase provider, using an anonymous identifier created on your device. It contains no name, email, phone number, location or advertising ID.
Attached to that anonymous identifier, the app also sends RevenueCat a small set of usage counters so we can see where people get stuck and improve the app:
- how many times the app was opened, and whether the first-run screens were finished;
- which job you picked on the first screen (TV antenna or satellite dish);
- whether location access was allowed or denied;
- how many times you lined up on a target and how many setups you saved;
- which locked feature first, and most recently, opened the Pro screen;
- at which moment the Pro screen opened on its own, the one time it does so.
These counters contain no location, coordinates, tower or satellite names, place names or notes. They are not linked to your identity and are not used for advertising or tracking. RevenueCat also receives the technical details any app request carries, such as your IP address, App Store country, app version and iOS version. What we do not do
No advertising SDK, no tracking pixel, no fingerprinting, no data broker and no tracking across apps or websites. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Children
Aimwave is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights and contact
Because there is no account, we cannot tell which anonymous RevenueCat record is yours unless you give us the identifier. Most data is on your device and under your control; deleting the app removes it. For access or deletion requests, or any question, write to hello@vomcore.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new text is published here before the version that relies on it ships.
