When you choose to analyze a photo, the app sends that photo to our service hosted on Amazon Web Services. The service passes it to Amazon Bedrock to produce a possible visual match and related notes. We do not save the photo or model response on the server. We do not include them in application logs. Amazon says Bedrock inputs and outputs are not used to train its base models.
Your saved photos and results stay in the app on your iPhone. Deleting Petralens removes that local collection. You can choose a photo from your library or take one with the camera; Petralens does not scan your library in the background.
The app generates a random installation identifier and sends it with each analysis request. We use it to apply a daily analysis limit and prevent abuse. A short lived daily count is stored in Amazon DynamoDB and expires after about two days. We do not ask for a name or email address.
Apple processes payments. RevenueCat verifies whether Pro is active using an anonymous app user identifier and purchase history. We do not receive your card number or payment details. You can restore eligible purchases using the Restore Purchases button.
Petralens does not include advertising or third party analytics SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell your data.
